Privacy Policy.

Pipeline is a personal recruiting tracker that I build and run on my own. This policy explains, in plain language, what data I hold, why I hold it, and the control you have over it. Throughout this document, "I", "me", and "my" refer to the individual who builds and operates Pipeline.

Signing in with Google

Pipeline offers Sign in with Google as a way to create and access your account. When you use it, I request only these scopes:

• email - your email address, used as your account identity and for essential messages like sign-in confirmation and password reset.
• profile - your basic profile (such as your name), used to personalize the app.
• openid - the standard identifier that lets Google authenticate you.

That is the full extent of it. Pipeline does not request or receive access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service. Signing in with Google is optional - you can also create an account with an email address and password.

What I collect

Account information

Your name and email address - provided either through Google Sign-In or when you register with an email and password. If you sign up with a password, it is handled and stored securely by my authentication provider; I never see or store it in plain text.

The information you put into the app

Pipeline only holds what you choose to enter as you track your recruiting. That can include:

• Firms you are recruiting with - names, pipeline stages, open and close dates, job links, and any notes you add (including offer details and post-mortem notes).
• Contacts - names, and any email, phone, LinkedIn, firm, or follow-up details you record for recruiters, alumni, and interviewers.
• Interaction logs - the calls, coffee chats, emails, and events you log, along with any notes, sentiment, referrals, or next steps you attach.
• Scheduled chats and interviews - times, methods, join links, prep notes, interviewer names, rounds, and reflections.
• Research notes and files you save against a firm, and any personal notes you keep in the app.
• Preferences - your timezone, whether you have opted in to email reminders, and whether you have seen the tutorial.

If you joined the waitlist on this site before creating an account, the only thing stored is the email address you submitted.

How I use your data

I use your data solely to provide Pipeline to you: to store and display your recruiting pipeline, and to send you essential email such as sign-in confirmation, password reset, and - only if you opt in - a reminder digest. I do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the app for you.

Where your data lives, and who helps run the app

I rely on a small number of established service providers to operate Pipeline. They process data only to provide their service to me, not for their own purposes:

• Supabase - the managed database, authentication, and file storage that holds your account and pipeline data (hosted in the United States).
• Resend - sends the app's transactional email (confirmations, password resets, and optional reminders).
• Vercel - hosts the application and this website.
• Google - provides the optional Sign in with Google described above.

Your records are isolated at the database level, so each account can only ever access its own data, and a new account starts genuinely blank.

What I do not do

• I do not sell your data, and I never will.
• I do not share your data with third parties for their own use.
• I do not run advertising, and I do not use third-party advertising or tracking analytics on your account.

Keeping your data, and deleting it

I keep your data for as long as your account exists so the app is there when you return. You are in control of it at any time:

• You can edit or delete individual firms, contacts, logs, and other records directly in the app.
• You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing me at varuncmathur@gmail.com. I will delete it, including any information obtained through Google Sign-In, and confirm when it is done.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to your records is restricted to your own authenticated account through database-level isolation. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit access to it.

Who Pipeline is for

Pipeline is intended for college students and other adults managing a recruiting search. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I will change the "Last updated" date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here on this page, which remains publicly accessible without signing in.
